Unless we state otherwise, this Policy applies when you visit or use the Company website, client portal, and our social media channels and related platforms (“Platforms”).

You should not use our Platforms if you do not agree with the terms and conditions contained in these Agreements.

KEEPING YOUR INFORMATION SECURE
We have appropriate security measures in place to prevent personal information from being accidentally lost, or used or accessed in an unauthorized way. We limit access to your personal information to those who have a genuine business need to know it. Those processing your information will do so only in an authorized manner and are subject to a duty of confidentiality.
We also have procedures in place to deal with any suspected data security breach. We will notify you and any applicable regulator of a suspected data security breach where we are legally required to do so.

The Platforms may contain features or links to websites and services provided by third parties. Any information you provide on third-party sites or services is provided directly to the operators of such services and is subject to those operators’ policies, if any, governing privacy and security, even if accessed through the Platforms. We are not responsible for the content or privacy and security practices and policies of third party sites or services to which links or access are provided through the Platforms. DATA TRANSFERS
We may transfer your personal information to trusted third-party service providers that support our business operations. These transfers may include:

United States – Our business operations, including client management, scheduling software, and communication systems, are primarily based in the United States. Your information is stored and processed through secure platforms used to manage bookings, client profiles, and service delivery.

Payment Processors (e.g., Stripe or similar providers) – Your payment information may be securely transmitted to third-party payment processors in order to process payments for services booked through our Client Portal.

Cloud-Based Software Providers – We use secure, cloud-based software systems to manage scheduling, visit reports, GPS tracking, and client communications. These providers may store or process data in the United States or other jurisdictions where their servers are located.

Service Team Access – Authorized employees or contractors of Critter Sitter of VA, LLC may access necessary client information (such as pet care instructions, home access details, and contact information) solely for the purpose of providing scheduled pet care services.
We take reasonable steps to ensure that any third parties handling your personal information maintain appropriate security measures and use your information only for authorized purposes related to our services.
DATA RETENTION
We retain your personal and profile information only for as long as necessary to provide our services, maintain accurate business and care records, and comply with applicable federal, state, and local legal, tax, and insurance requirements.
Client information—including pet care details, service history, communication records, and visit reports—may be retained for a reasonable period following your last service to support continuity of care, resolve disputes, maintain insurance documentation, and meet recordkeeping obligations.
Payment-related information is processed and stored securely through our third-party payment providers. Critter Sitter of VA, LLC does not store sensitive payment details locally.
If you would like your personal information deleted, you may submit a request by contacting us as outlined in the “How to Contact Us” section below. Please note that we may retain certain information as required to comply with legal obligations, enforce our agreements, or resolve disputes.
OUR POLICY CONCERNING MINORS
Minors should not use the Platforms. If we learn that we’ve collected personal data from a minor, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. Parents who believe that Company may have collected personal information from a minor can submit a request that it be removed by contacting us (see “How to Contact Us” below).
NOTICE TO CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS
